Synopsis: Tarshish is the memory of a catastrophe. It's not clear if it was a natural wonder or a divine punishment. The title refers to the ancient city of Tartesso whose history was lost in the past and whose destiny is linked to the end of the mighty Atlantis island. The location of Tartesso is given by the bible and by other ancient books. Some scholars had recently discovered the existence of a Tartesso nearby Nora, A Phoenician city in south Sardinia. The Sardinian seacoast are the thatre of the stage play. The place where the survivor's destinys are linked together, or the wild environment where the unsuspecting tourists love to relax.

The video is the context of a time disconnection, between images, where events happen, and the tale, where everything already happened. Tarshish is the calm before the storm and the complexity of life after the havoc.

Tarshish is a project by Daniele Pezzi that include maps, drawings, video and paintings.
